Good times, Bad times, give me some of that...
As far as things have been going, Western Digital is now on my shit list as far as hard drives go. That is, unless Dell decided to use their kill switches on some of their PC's that came through here lately.
Recently I decided to startup my defender and respec'ed her to take all the defensive and very little offensive powers. So far, unless the group is made of complete morons, she can keep em all alive. Even with a group of complete morons, she was able to keep the main group healed while two morons split from the group and decided that their offense were good enough to get themselves killed. Even when I mentioned to the group to stop attacking, Captain Aggro(blaster) decides to go on.
Personally I feel that melee toons get priority for healing while blasters get fortitude. Everyone has to stay in healing range. If you go too far, I'm not TP'ing your sorry butt back here to rez, you wait for us to get there or you go to the hospital. I havent seen a more sorry group of players since my days of deciding to solo because of these bad pickup groups.
I noticed that most empathy defenders never take absorb pain, because you can die from it. Personally when used right, it's very overpowered. Case in point, 2 empathy defenders were on a Cavern of Trancendance trial. By coincidence, we both had the same powersets. Oddly though my heals were generally a lot better than his. I'm 2 levels below him. On one bad pull, everyone got aggro, I popped 4 purples and kept healing. The other defender was down to red when I used Absorb Pain on him. This put him back up to full health. When my purples ran out, I started to take damage. Well he shot it right back at me when I was near red. With the heal spam between the two of us, this whole team of eight didn't die thereafter.
Well it's my birthday tomorrow and I still have to work. What's worse is that I have a cold oncoming and I have had problems sleeping. I plan to BBQ tomorrow and have something like steak and cake. Most people who know me, were asking what I wanted for my birthday. Clothes are always nice, but a candy bar is still good. I'm not picky. Just as long as they show up, it's all good.

AFK
Was AFK for a bit there, So I hope the other heroes of Paragon City were good enough to take care in my absence. Well a bit of stuff happened to me over the past few days. A friend of mine is talking to her cousin about hooking me up with said cousin. I always like to meet new people.
It's not that I like to be surrounded with people, but when others tell their stories, my imagination is capable of showing me their life experiences according to their stories. Very articulate authors usually can entertain me for hours on end. Larry Niven's Ringworld stories I never get to finish because once my imagination sets the place and characters with personalities, my imagination finishes out the story, not according to the book, but more of a Sims type style.
I've been able to create whole worlds, characters and situations, but I've had a very dfficult struggle trying to capture these ideas and put them on paper to become a writer. Which brings me to why I was writing in the first place. I'm starting a new story on my Worlds blog and it looks promising, but writers block atm prevents me from going anywhere with the characters. The time away from being a superhero has restarted and gave me some inspiration so for the time being, I will go into CoH sparringly till I finish the story.
Oh and for your Guardians out there, that current story I have with DS and AeM, It's outlined, I just have to get around to finishing it.

So I was up late last night...
Working on a server and telling jokes to a friend when suddenly I get hit with the munchies. Not sure why, maybe the resulting euphoria of reinstalling Win2k3 SBS. Anyway, I'm suprised at the lack of open restaraunts late at night in the Bay Area. Well there is Mel's, but that is a 30+ mile drive. I'd rather not go for McDonalds, rather because of the food they offer. In-n-out is open till 1am, but even then it is still a long drive. I relented on getting something from a 24hour supermarket. Wasn't the best, but it was better than eating a double quarter pounder or two tacos with extra hotsauce.
Well I managed to fit some time for Paragon City late last night while the server component install goes. Well I found out that the prison doors on the Warburg instanced missions to protect this and that do give out nice xp upon destruction. Well nice thing about it is to kickback, catch some zzzz and let your autofire hit the doors.
Well back into the fire, and none to happy about it.
