Global Warming...
Something that always gets me is all the talk about global warming. I think the politicians and the TV scientists have got it wrong. Let me put it into perspective for you. Global warming in it's very nature, allows life to thrive on this planet. Without global warming, Earth would be a giant ice ball. The Sun has energy to heat this planet, but without the ability to retain the heat, the night side of the planet would be covered in ice.
Now to clarify, the temperature on this planet without the help of the atmosphere to retain the heat would be similar to that of the moon. Now how about too much heat? Would it drastically alter the environment? I suppose if the sun were to explode. How about man made greenhouse gases? Cut down on Carbon Dioxide emissions? The thing most people don't realize is how resilient the Earth itself is. Why do we have Hurricanes some years and not others? Why are earthquakes so frequent when they are small and the big ones are decades apart? Out of all these questions and life is still flourishing on this planet, don't you think that somewhere along the way, the environment compensated for changes in the environment?
Plus a planet being a giant ball of Iron and rock, housing a 1-50 billion chance of supporting life, takes a lot more of what we can throw at it to destroy it.
Till next time...
