Science Vs. Religion.
In a ten round bout, who wins? That question is meant to be rhetorical. I'll tell you why. It's like pitting an apple vs. lemon on which is better for you. From my standpoint, both are playing in different ballparks. One of them proves how things work. The other is a guideline for life. It's when the two start questioning each other is when the proverbial fur starts to fly.
I would imagine most people would disagree with what I just said. You do not have to agree.
My observations that drew me to that conclusion are as follows. Science doesn't teach you about Morals, Ethics and Values. Religion cannot determine the the atomic weight of gold. Science doesn't offer charity to the downtrodden. Religion wont show you how heart disease works. Science doesn't offer forgiveness if you screw up. Religion did not explain why Boron will absorb the fast acting neutron particle in a runaway nuclear reaction.(Nuclear Reactor operators and chemists will get that one. SCRAM the reactor.)
Religion does show the consequences of certain action's such as infidelity, and Science can prove that the magnitude of a woman's anger is immeasurable.
My point being - both are important in life. Science helps debunk the charlatans who claim a many things, Religion helps us stay on the straight and narrow and helps determine what is right and what is wrong.
